Andy is originally a "Hoosier" from Muncie, Indiana and always wanted to be in “show biz”. After graduating from Ball State University, Andy stayed in Indiana, working in radio and TV in Richmond, Muncie and Indianapolis.  He moved to Grand Rapids to work at WOOD-TV where he met his wife Kathy.

Andy is deeply involved in the Grand Rapids and West Michigan community. He has served on the board of directors of the Metropolitan YMCA, and Easter Seals-Michigan.  He also assists the Salvation Army, DeGage Ministries, JDRF, Disability Advocates, Hope Network, and various other non-profit organizations.

Interests:  I love golf, travel, reading, dining out, theater and movies. And, of course my children and grand children.
Andy and his wife Kathy have 7 children and 8 grandchildren.  They have a busy life.

Music:  I love all kinds - especially jazz, blues, and classical, rock and pop hits.

The best part about my job:  The ability to make a difference in the community.
